The Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) is set to commence a webinar on infection prevention control for doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists and other health workers from 3rd to 5th June, 2020.
The training, which will be held via Zoom, will cover areas such as, use of personal protective equipment, standard precautions and transmission of infections.
According to IHVN FCT Regional Manager, Dr. Fadimatu Yunusa, the virtual training is to build the capacity of health care workers on the do’s and don’ts of preventing COVID-19.
“Due to COVID-19 pandemic, health care workers are at high risk of getting infected. This webinar will focus on protection for both health care workers and their patients in a hospital setting,” she said.
